New Year -- New Cha-Cha-Changes on the Horizon

kiabellsweets

Greetings cookiers, cookie friends, and fellow home bakers! I hope you all are staying safe and well, especially with the "flurona" out there causing havoc (eye-roll emoji). Personally, I'm sick of COVID and the hell it is causing in our personal lives; I especially feel bad for everyone who has lost someone due to COVID over the last 2 years. In addition to ruining plans, COVID is costing us small businesses an arm and a leg. Premium ingredients I utilized at the start of the pandemic, have increased ten folds! Since I refuse to cut my ingredients with cheap, unhealthy replacements, I've had to make some tough decisions over the past few days. Due to the rise in prices for goods, and the high cost of transportation, I have made the difficult decision to no longer over personal delivery for baked goods. From here on out, orders must be picked up at a mutually agreed upon location by the consumer and Kiabell's Sweet Confections L.L.C.

While it is convenient for customers, the increase in the cost of delivery items became a huge financial burden for Kiabell's Sweet Confections L.L.C. But don't fret! I am still offering the option to ship (for customers outside of the Metro Atlanta area where driving 38+ miles or more is too difficult) and the option to pick up orders! Customers can meet me halfway at a mutually agreed upon location for pick-up, which will most likely be in Decatur, or Atlanta, or a city close to these areas. Depending on the circumstances, customers may be able to pick up their orders directly from my home bakery! :)

In addition to no longer offering delivery, I can no longer allow customers to change pick-up dates or times at the last minute. This is unfair to other customers and me as well. Making custom, designer cookies requires your undivided attention, and I require my full devotion to a cookie order once I begin working. If we decide upon a pick-up date and time, please attempt to adhere to the agreed-upon date/time/location. If you are unable to adhere to the agreement, please inform me AHEAD of time -- such as 48 hours at the least.

Moving On.....

Now that we've covered the delivery of goods, let's focus on the goods themselves! With each nationally known holiday, I am making every effort to offer a variety of simple, mini-sized cookies! I'm known for my large, thick cookies, but every now and then, someone may opt for a less daunting-sized cookie. That's totally understandable! Mini cookies are perfect for sharing with friends; sampling new flavors, gifting to kids, and best of all -- portion control! Mini-sized cookies will be offered with limited shapes and decor due to their tiny size, so if you are looking for an elaborate or detailed cookie order I suggest sticking with the traditional larger cookies of 3.5 and up (maximum size is typically 5 inches).

Finally...........

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I won't be able to offer Easter cookies this year as I will most likely be taking a must-needed break. Not to worry, I'll announce my return once the break is over, which should be just in time for Mother's Day and Father's Day!

I've said my piece! I wish you all a very happy, safe, and healthy start to 2022. May this year be the best one yet!
